NACDD is dedicated to promoting the strategic efforts of the public health workforce, developing partnerships with tobacco control organizations, and advancing and sustaining policy changes that prevent and reduce tobacco use and exposure. NACDD is working to close the gap between “what we know” and “what we do” in regards to tobacco control.

- National Alliance on Tobacco Cessation - EX Campaign: Formed in March 2008, the Alliance is comprised of a group of states and leading public health organizations to steer a national public education campaign to decrease tobacco use. EX is designed to change smokers’ beliefs and attitudes about quitting and connect them with proven resources, including an EX-branded smoking cessation web site. The campaign was developed by the American Legacy Foundation with guidance from partners including Mayo Clinic and input from current and former smokers.
