![]() About the School Health Council
The NACDD School Health Council is funded through CDC’s Division of Adolescent and School Health (CDC/DASH) for the purpose of assisting states and territories in integrating chronic disease risk reduction strategies, especially those that focus on physical activity, healthy eating, and tobacco use reduction or tobacco free lifestyles, into school settings. School Health Council Mission:
Membership: Representative or voting membership is open to one school health designee from each state, territory, district, commonwealth, or tribal organization as determined by the Chronic Disease Program Director. General membership shall be open to other health department employees who direct or work with chronic disease prevention and control programs and associate membership is open to other public heath professionals passionate about working in school health.
