Navigating Cooperative Agreements is a dynamic, day-and-a-half workshop for state chronic disease directors and program managers, designed to enable more effective management of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) cooperative agreements related to categorical chronic disease programs funded by the CDC’s National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP). Topics covered include:
Navigating Cooperative Agreements is co-facilitated by an experienced state chronic disease program staff person and a CDC project officer, and is intended to complement one segment of the Project Officer of the Future course provided for CDC project officers. Both courses are designed to improve skills and enhance relationships between state chronic disease workers and CDC staff, with the ultimate goal of increasing effectiveness of chronic disease prevention and control programs around the country as change agents improving the public’s health.
