Program Manager of the Delaware Diabetes & Heart Disease Prevention and Control Program since 2000. Previously, was a District Manager for the American Diabetes Association, Delaware Affiliate from the years 1995 to 2000.
Past Mayor and Council Member in Milton, Delaware. Past President of the Milton Chamber of Commerce, the Milton Historical Society and co-founder of the Cape Henlopen Food Basket. Past member of the Milton Comprehensive Planning Committee, Action for Healthy Kids, the Milton Historic District Guideline Task Force, the Daimler Chrysler Diabetes Health Initiative, and the Coordinating Council for Children with Disabilities. Current member of the Delaware Diabetes Coalition, YMCA Prevention Program Committee, Healthier Sussex Task Force / Diabetes Initiative and staff member of the Delaware Chronic Renal Disease Advisory Council. Co-established the National Registered Historic District in Milton Delaware and is the proprietor of Jailhouse Art, Antiques & Unique Gifts.
As a program manager, I've collaborated extensively with community leaders, health professionals and state agency partners in developing, promoting and implementing state and national initiatives to control and prevent diabetes in the state. This includes many years of experience speaking to government and community groups, health professionals, social service professionals, business leaders and consumers on the prevalence, management and prevention of diabetes.
