Peggy Yen, RD, MPH is a public health consultant and registered dietitian/nutritionist with a professional interest in population health and healthy communities. Since 2005, she has worked as an NACDD consultant on cardiovascular health, diabetes, healthy aging, and state success stories/What’s Working database. She previously served as CVH nutrition consultant for the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and as Chief Nutritionist for MRFIT, an NIH-funded heart disease prevention trial. She received the APHA Helen R. Stacey Award for graduate study in public health nutrition. Ms. Yen earned a BS in Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Delaware, an MPH from UNC Chapel Hill, and completed a dietetic internship at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston, MA (now Brigham & Woman’s Hospital).
