Kendell LeBray, MPH, is Director of the Louisiana Chronic Disease Prevention and Control Unit. The Unit addresses chronic diseases and their risk factors through promoting healthy behaviors, utilizing evidence based interventions and conducting public health research through collaborative private and public partnerships to maximize health outcomes amongst Louisianans. Prior to accepting his current position Mr. LeBray served as a Public Health Consultant for Pharmatrophic Management Services, Inc. in which he designed public health interventions and galvanized community coalitions surrounding access to health care services. He is also the former Regional Program Manager for Novo Nordisk, Inc. and was instrumental in lobbying Federal, State and Local legislators to influence policy-making decisions surrounding Medicaid and Medicare.

Mr. LeBray received his Bachelors of Sociology from Morehouse College and his Masters of Public Health from the University of Michigan.

He has been a member of several professional organizations including the Massachusetts Association of Mental Health, Inc. – where he served as a Member of the Board of Directors, Georgia Diabetes Advisory Council, National Association of Health Services Executives and American Public Health Association.
