July begins the start of the hottest months during the year. As people adjust their eating and physical activity routines during the summer, everyone should be mindful of the affect that unhealthy changes in diet and exercise will play on the body. For those with heart conditions and taking medications, the summer fun of eating ice cream and staying outdoors can be challenging to continue with a heart healthy lifestyle. Don’t let the summer disturb your healthy living routine! The Million Hearts Collaboration, including NACDD, has put together a number of resources for states to use that includes talking points, documents, newsletter articles, information for patients and healthcare providers and social media posts that can be found on the NACDD website at https://chronicdisease.site-ym.com/resource/resmgr/CVH/MH_Collab_Mess_Cont_Cal_Jul.docx.
