NACDD and CDC Fireside Chat Addresses Health Systems Change in Hypertension Control on June 29

NACDD, in coordination with CDC’s Division for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention, is proud to continue its series of Fireside Chats with the upcoming session focused on addressing health systems change in hypertension control. Fireside Chats provide an interactive format for state health agencies to hear from content experts on issues related to cardiovascular health and grantee priority areas.

On June 29, Sallyann Coleman King, MD, MSC, CDC medical epidemiologist, will moderate a discussion featuring Anita Christie, RN, MHA, CPHQ, from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and Diana Erani, MBA, of the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers. Ms. Christie who serves as the director of the Office of Clinical Preventative Services, will share her experience designing Massachusetts’ 1422 detailed capacity assessment process as well as their ongoing quality improvement work with health center sites.

Ms. Erani, Health Center Controlled Network director for the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers, will provide an overview of the Data Reporting and Visualization System used to deliver feedback to clinical sites in collaboration with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and will share her perspective on institutionalizing data-driven technical assistance.
