NACDD Moves to Decatur as Part of Long-Term Strategy to Grow and Expand Work in Chronic Disease

Thursday, February 8, 2018   (0 Comments)

In late February, as part of a long-term strategic plan to enhance the work of the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors, NACDD will be moving a few miles away from its current Headquarters north of Atlanta to Decatur, Ga. The move was precipitated by the significant growth NACDD has experienced during the past five years, doubling in permanent staff size and dramatically increasing the number of programs the organization leads in almost every state and territory to further chronic disease prevention, control, and health promotion.

“We weren’t just looking for a bigger office space -- we wanted our new location to enhance the work that we do,” said John W. Robitscher, MPH, NACDD’s CEO. “We are very excited to be co-locating with the Task Force for Global Health in Decatur, where we anticipate tremendous opportunity to exchange best practices and potentially to artner on new initiatives in the emerging global chronic disease space,” he said.

The Task Force for Global Health is one of the largest global health nonprofits in the world, and the Atlanta Business Chronicle has consistently ranked NACDD as one of the largest and most influential nonprofits in Atlanta.

The new facilities at the Task Force building offer expanded conference room availability and global video conferencing services. The location, within downtown Decatur, also is within walking distance of restaurants, a hotel, and other amenities.

NACDD anticipates minimal interruption to business operations during this time. The Headquarters’ general phone number will remain the same, 770-458-7400, but NACDD’s address will change to:

National Association of Chronic Disease Directors

325 Swanton Way

Decatur, Ga. 30030

“We look forward to welcoming our Members, partners, and colleagues to our new space this spring,” said Robitscher.
