Council Records

The Mentoring Committee oversees the Council's mentoring activities by matching states working on building their capacity to more experienced states.

If you are a new State Diabetes or CVH Staff, please contact the Chair to find out how you can get involved either in a mentoring program or a learning community for new state staff.

Mentoring Programs

Peg Adams Peer-to-Peer Program for New State CVH and Diabetes Staff

To provide support, encouragement, and orientation to new Diabetes and CVH State staff

This program has been designed to help new staff navigate the nuances of the state program/CDC relationship, link them to the Diabetes and CVH Councils, and reduce possible feelings of isolation. This program complements and does not replace orientation and technical assistance provided by the CDC Division of Diabetes Translation or the CDC Division of Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention, as well as orientation and support provided by the new state staff’s employing agency.

See the Peer to Peer Program Guidance Document for more information.
