Resources and Tools: Communication
The purpose of this "Media Guide" is to support efforts to create policy, systems, and environmental changes in community settings by harnessing the power of the media to inform the public about what change is needed and why.
Social Media Training
This "social media training" was designed for groups working on healthy community efforts. The training is tailored for busy people who want to quickly know how social media can enhance their community building. In addition to each of the videos, many have downloadable "tip sheets” that go along with the content. Most of the videos are basic information about each social media tool.
CDC Social Media Guide
The use of social media tools is a powerful channel to reach target audiences with strategic, effective and user-centric health interventions. To assist in the planning, development and implementation of social media activities, the CDC developed the "Guide to Writing for Social Media" and the "Social Media Toolkit" to provide critical information on lessons learned, best practices, clearance information and security requirements.
