January 2016
NACDD is the only organization representing all state and jurisdictional chronic disease staff, dedicated to building capacity and making public health good for the public.

Happy New Year!  As NACDD begins its work in 2016, I am excited about our new focus on implementing the Association’s new three-year cooperative agreement from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The purpose of this initiative is to provide leadership, training and workforce development to all of our members.
One exciting benefit of the new cooperative agreement is our upcoming National Chronic Disease Academy being held August 30, 2016-September 1, 2016. The Academy will feature new courses based on member needs assessments, PHAB accreditation and working with new funding mechanisms. Scholarship opportunities will be available!  Please save the date.
NACDD members have many exciting opportunities to look forward to in the new year. If you haven’t already, please follow us on Linked and Facebook for information about upcoming events and program updates. We look forward to a robust new year advancing the vital work of public health across our nation.
