In response to the growing interest in GIS for chronic disease in state health departments, NACDD and CDC would like get input from states on how they can facilitate enhanced communication and support regarding GIS-related needs and interests in health departments. If you are interested in GIS and Chronic Disease, please come to a roundtable discussion and share your thoughts about what would be useful for promoting the use of GIS for chronic disease surveillance and prevention in state health departments. The roundtables will be offered on two dates and times so you may choose the one that fits your schedule best.

This is part of a NEW bi-monthly call series to provide an ongoing forum for state and CDC 1305 and 1422 epidemiology and surveillance staff to come together, ask questions, discuss common issues, and share tips, tools, and resources. Discussion topics for the May call are:

  • Uses of Profiles data
  • YRBS participation
