Medicaid Coverage for the National DPP Demonstration Project

The Medicaid Coverage for the National DPP demonstration project, led by NACDD and supported by the Division of Diabetes Translation at the CDC, is nearing an end. Throughout the course of this demonstration, approximately 1,000 Medicaid beneficiaries enrolled in the National DPP lifestyle change program in Maryland and Oregon. With data collection complete, both states are now focused on the long-term sustainability of the program in Medicaid and beyond. NACDD, along with RTI International, is assessing the process for Medicaid coverage and delivery, analyzing the cost of different delivery models, and evaluating enrollment, engagement, and retention strategies, and participant outcomes. Evaluation results will be available in January 2019. For more information, contact Kelly McCracken.
