Hope Harris Joins NACDD as New Human Resources Director

ATLANTA (June 17, 2020) – The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors (NACDD) announced today that Hope Harris, SPHR, SHRM-CP, joins the Association as the new Human Resources Director. Hope was selected through a rigorous national search of candidates with consideration given to diversity, experience, leadership, and demonstration of innovative approaches to Human Resources activities. A team of staff from multiple levels of seniority participated in the interview process of candidates. Hope replaces Slavomira “Cici” Roberts, the former Human Resources Director, who has moved to a new position in another organization.

Hope has served as a human resource business partner for more than 15 years, focusing on advising and supporting senior leadership on matters that include culture and engagement, performance management, organizational change, and employee relations.

As NACDD’s Human Resources Director, Hope is directly responsible for overall administration, coordination, and evaluation of the Association’s human resource functions. The role serves as a strategic partner while working closely with other key leaders to ensure HR effectiveness, and maintain a positive culture while leading and promoting HR initiatives and programs that align with the Association’s goals and values. Hope reports to the Chief Executive Officer.

Prior to coming to NACDD, Hope successfully supported and led local as well as national teams while engaging in all aspects of business including finance, operations, and human resources. She won the 2018 SHRM Atlanta Impact Award for successfully fostering company culture while creating organizational structure to support immense company growth.

Hope attended Georgia State University and obtained a bachelor’s degree in Managerial Sciences. She completed HRCI Certification courses at Emory University and attained a Senior Professional in Human Resources Certificate (SPHR). She also completed SHRM Certification courses at Georgia Institute of Technology and attained a Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional Certificate (SHRM-CP).

Hope is an active member of SHRM National and SHRM Atlanta and volunteers for SHRM Atlanta and Junior Achievement BizTown-Atlanta.

Hope is a lifelong learner who enjoys a great book in her downtime. She lives with her husband and two children in Newnan, Ga.
