NACDD, CBS Healthwatch Promote Prediabetes Awareness

Wednesday, January 11, 2017   (0 Comments)

A series of three 30-second messages that feature Dr. Ann Albright, Director of the Division of Diabetes Translation at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, can be aired on television and/or in physician offices. State health offices can add a website link or other specific information.

The messages can be viewed here: What Is Pre Diabetes; Talk To Your Doctor; Type 2 Diabetes Risk. The Maryland Department of Health was one of the first to leverage the messaging in physician offices. Department staff discussed options with NACDD and strategized on message placement in health care provider offices in Baltimore and throughout the state. Maryland staff look forward to receiving metrics on the number of views, department website hits, and more.

NACDD is available to assist states with thinking through how to use these messages with CBS Healthwatch. If you would like more information, assess how the messages might fit into your existing marketing plan, consider your available budget, and please contact John Patton, NACDD Director of Public Affairs, at:
