Ann Forburger has 30 years of experience in public health, specifically in chronic disease prevention and control at the state and national level. She currently is a lead senior consultant for Community-Clinical Linkages with the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors, where she spearheads national efforts to support policies, programs, and State Health Departments in diabetes prevention and control and other chronic diseases.

Ann recently served as a faculty member with the Department of Population Health Sciences at Virginia Tech, conducting diabetes-focused, community participatory research in underserved communities. Previously, Ann served as the Director of the Diabetes Prevention and Control Program for the Virginia Department of Health, directing and coordinating local and statewide diabetes prevention and control and other chronic disease initiatives.

Ann graduated from Virginia Tech with a BS in Exercise Science and a MS in Community Health Education.
