NACDD convenes Chronic Disease Prevention Leaders at state and national levels in small groups to discuss emerging issues and the future of chronic disease prevention management and leadership. Approximately four meetings are held each year with roughly 20 participants, including 10 Chronic Disease Directors, as well as subject matter specialists from CDC and NACDD. Meetings include one full-day session and one half-day session with discussions on specific topics in order to continue peer-to-peer learning among chronic disease prevention leaders regarding state and national practice issues and cultivate leader-to-leader dialogue and action planning. The meetings explore how we can transform processes, organization, workforce, and the structure of our work to strengthen the quality of chronic disease prevention efforts.
