OUR MEMBERS

Since 1988, the National Association of Chronic Disease Directors has grown from a handful of Chronic Disease Directors to more than 7,000 public health professionals, advocates, nonprofit workers, healthcare providers, and private industry executives. Our success stems from the strong efforts of these dedicated Members. We would not be where we are today without their critical participation.

NACDD Membership categories: General and Associate.

General Members:

State, Tribal, or Territorial Health Department Staff who work in chronic disease programs are automatically provided NACDD General Membership through their health departments, who pay the Membership dues on their behalf.



Associate Members:

Public health professionals working in chronic disease in nonprofits, healthcare, academia, or private industry can join NACDD by completing a profile and submitting it for approval. This Membership application will be reviewed by NACDD leadership for alignment with the organization’s Mission and Vision.

Eligible General Members often work in:

 

  • Chronic disease prevention and control programs
  • Health promotion and education
  • Epidemiology units
  • Maternal and child health
  • Oral health
  • Injury & risk factors
  • Immunization
  • Communicable and noncommunicable diseases


  •  

Associate Members may be:

 

  • Federal employees
  • Nonprofit executives
  • Healthcare providers
  • Public health academics
  • Researchers
  • Corporate employees
  • Students who are enrolled full-time in public health or an allied field (with a minimum of 12 credit hours)
  • Retirees (individuals retired from the practice of public health, but remain committed to the purposes of NACDD)
