Funding Opportunities

From time to time, NACDD provides funding opportunities for various health organizations and communities. They also serve as a resource for communities to learn about funding sources beyond their own scope and involvement.

Some past projects have included programs such as funding for Bicycle Advocacy and Facilities. Fifteen grants are awarded annually by Bikes Belong organization and are designed to "put more more people on bicycles more often" in America's communities.

Similarly, Baseball Tomorrow is a partnership with Major League Baseball designed to promote and enhance the growth of youth participation in baseball and softball around the world by funding programs, fields, coaches' training, uniforms, and equipment.

NACDD also identifies for-profit companies that offer funding opportunities such as Nike's philanthropic Bowerman Track Renovation Program which provides matching cash grants to community-based, youth-oriented organizations that seek to refurbish or construct running tracks.

Other governmental agencies also provide partnerships to address public health. Specifically the National Park Service and the Federal Highway Administration both offer grant programs for pedestrian and bicycle projects as well as recreational facility development projects.

If you would like to submit a funding opportunity for posting, please contact NACDD.
