Tera Miller has been serving as the State Engagement Coordinator and a Subject Matter Expert for the Diabetes Portfolio for NACDD since 2015. Tera supports State Health Departments in diabetes prevention and control work funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Primarily, she supports State Engagement Meetings and intensive learning collaboratives by developing facilitation and planning materials, coordinating with state and national partners, preparing action plans and other written reports, and identifying efficient team processes.

Prior to joining NACDD, Tera was the Director of the Diabetes Program for the North Dakota Department of Health, where she developed work plans, managed budgeting, and evaluated programming. Tera has worked at several levels of the National Diabetes Prevention Program, including as a lifestyle coach facilitator.

Tera has served in the North Dakota Air National Guard since 2001 and currently is the Airfield Manager. She supervises airfield staff, ensures airfield safety, and communicates airfield and flight activity.

Tera earned a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and a Master of Business Administration from North Dakota State University. In her personal time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with family and friends.
