ATLANTA (Dec. 19, 2017) – National Association of Chronic Disease Directors CEO John Robitscher released the following statement today:

"The National Association of Chronic Disease Directors supports CDC Director Dr. Brenda Fitzgerald’s statement that science remains at the foundation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s work to improve health across the nation. We believe that decisions about funding priorities and budgets should promote health among those groups that are most vulnerable and whose health stands to gain the most benefit from programs and practices grounded in evidence and thoughtful inquiry. As the professional association representing chronic disease directors and their staff in every state and U.S. territory, our diversity is our strength as we seek to improve health and to promote health equity for everyone in our nation, regardless of race, gender identification, religion, ethnicity, or socio-economic status.”
